The French auto manufacturer Peugeot produced the 406 saloon can from 1996 to 2004. It got here with a pre-installed radio, which included as its options an AM/FM receiver with a CD or cassette player. If you need to put in an aftermarket CD participant, which includes extra up-to-date features, then you have to adapt the wiring to permit the new player to operate in the 406. Disconnect the automobile battery for safety before beginning the process and adapt the radio housing to permit the aftermarket stereo to fit.
Peugeot 406 CD Player Installation Instructions
1. Insert DIN radio elimination keys into the slots on each side of the radio. Push them in until they’re locked into place. Pull on the keys to pull the stereo out of the dashboard. Disconnect the wire harness and the radio antenna cable.
2. Join the wire harness coming out of the dashboard — containing the facility, floor and speaker wiring — to a customized wire harness adapter. Click the ends together and pull on the connection to examine it’s secure.
3. Join the wiring on the new CD Player to the other finish of the wire harness adapter. Click on the ends together and pull on the connection to check it is secure.
4. Plug the thick black radio antenna cable into the matching port on the left-hand facet of the rear of the radio.
5. Slide the wiring of the CD participant into the dashboard housing. Comply with it in with the CD player, taking care to not trap any wiring. Push the CD Player in until it locks into place.
6. Reconnect the 406 battery. Turn on the radio.
